Phase 1 at Coneyboro, Athy, Co. Kildare – a growing, sustainable community being delivered by BHA Construction as both developer and main contractor. Phase 1 includes 35 new homes, a mix of high-quality semi-detached and terraced units, all designed to the highest modern standards — including an impressive A2 BER rating for superior energy performance. As part of this phase, 9 terraced homes have been delivered for Clúid Housing, providing vital social housing for the local community — a key part of our commitment to delivering inclusive, long-term housing solutions. Following the completion of Phase 1, Phases 2 and 3 will add a further 52 homes, bringing the overall development to a total of 87 new units in Athy.

Our Radharc na Mara development – meaning “View of the Sea” – sits proudly in Ballygillane Big, Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford and lives up to its name with panoramic sea views that are second to none. This residential scheme for Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) consists of 28 homes – a carefully considered mix of 2 and 3 bedroom homes, duplexes, and apartments, designed to meet a variety of housing needs. A standout feature of the development is the large adjoining public amenity area, which will include a community park and children’s play space – a valuable addition for residents and the wider community. BHA were both developer and main contractor - Architect CDP Architecture. We are proud to be nearing completion of the Cuanahowan development in Tullow, Co. Carlow, for Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI). This project delivered 48 high-quality social housing units, including a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom homes — Semi-D's, Terraces, and Bungalows — designed for families to become thriving communities.



Kilminchy, Portlaoise

Ballyknockan Manor, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow

Social Housing Development for Carlow County Council comprising 37 Social Housing units handed over w/c 12th May 2025. This residential development is made up of 10 semi-detached 2 and 3 bedroom homes, 25 terrace houses and 2 bungalows all A2 BER rated.
Construction commenced in June 2023 on a what was a derelict greenfield site that had lain idle where construction had commenced some years previously (by others) and had the remains of house foundations.
In addition to the delivery of 37 housing units, the approved planning permission included a new communal “Natural Play area” amenity and new access roads.
To ensure the safety of the existing residents of the estate, a Traffic Management Plan was developed and signed off by the HSA. Temporary wire fencing was erected around areas deemed unsafe to comply with planning requirements.

Hebron Road
Housing Development, Kilkenny
BHA was appointed the main contractor by Hebron Ventures to deliver 58 units on their green field site in Kilkenny City.

The units were a mix of 2 and 3 storey homes as well as 15 apartments across 4 floors. The units were built on strip foundations with rising block walls and plaster finish through out. To assist with the speed of construction the site used Posi joists and roof trusses.
All homes were built to an A2 rating and met the latest design standards for landscaping and amenities. ensure
Working across several Covid shut downs and price increases, BHA managed to successfully deliver the project on time and budget.



Graigue na hAibhainne, Carlow
Housing Development, Carlow
BHA completed a residential project involving the construction of 77 new houses, with most being 3-bedroom semi-detached units.

External walls were constructed using block and brickwork with cavity walls and full-fill bonded bead insulation. Double-glazed PVC windows and doors were installed, and all blockwork walls received a nap plaster finish and paint. Posi Joists were used for joisting, and timber roof trusses, lath & felt, and concrete roof tiles were utilized for roof works. Mechanical aspects included air-to-water heat pumps with radiators, achieving an A2 rating, along with specified sanitary fittings.
Electrical work was fully completed, and carpentry & joinery featured flush timber doors, skirting, stairs, and fitted kitchens. Internal finishes involved plasterboard walls with skim finish and paint, and wall & floor tiling were done in designated areas. External works covered concrete paths, gardens, fencing, and drainage, while development works included in-situ concrete footpaths, line marking, and site services. Landscaping included topsoil, seeding, and planting of shrubs and trees.
The project achieved a BER rating of A2.

The 9-unit scheme not only met but surpassed green and environmental targets, achieving compliance with NZEB standards.
Construction of 9 units (Units A to J), comprising three-story terraced houses (Units A-C) and ground floor apartments and three-story duplex apartments (Units D-J). Units A-C featured 5-bedroom Rectory, 3-bedroom Curate’s house, and 4-bedroom townhouse with private gardens and parking. Units D-J included three-story duplex apartments and 1-bedroom ground floor apartments with various features such as shared gardens and terraces. Associated site development works, landscaping works, new perimeter walls, and railings to road frontages.
